Long-haul truck drivers and commuters stuck in the morning rush will welcome a new portable coffee brewer from Eastsign.
The PCM50 brewer holds 120 milliliters of water with a convenient screw bottom for capsules or fresh ground roast.
Simply insert a capsule, screw the adapter to puncture the foil top, and pour water into the reservoir. Then press start and the coffee brews through the device into a hands-free, spill-proof cup below the discharge nozzle. Remove the cup and the brewer can be used to fill a giant mug four ounces at a time.
The combination brewer and travel mug is powered with a rechargeable battery to fresh brew coffee on the go. Adapters fit Dolce Gusto and Nespresso capsules or let you fill the chamber with your own ground coffee.
Eastsign president Andy Wang demonstrated his patented invention at the Specialty Coffee Expo where its stainless steel construction and ceramic coating drew admiring crowds.
The brewer, which comes in black or white, is sized to fit into car console or truck dashboard cup holders.
The brewer achieves 15 bars of pressure, enough to produce an espresso with fine crema in 40 seconds.
The brewer will heat 50 ml of cold water to brewing temperature in five minutes. The rechargeable battery is powerful enough to make 50 cups. The brewer can plug directly into a 12-v cigarette socket or USB charging port and comes with a Type-C two-pin power outlet, the most widely used international plug, works in Asia and all European countries except UK.
Suggested retail price is $180 for two brewers.
