STA Impianti Celebrates Close Collaboration
Roaster Griso’s Claudia Balzan and Antonio Biscottti
Bologna-based STA Impianti, which specializes in designing roasting equipment and systems, and Brianza-based roaster Griso have shared a passion for coffee for almost 30 years.
STA has a deep portfolio of roasting machines and possesses world-class mechanical knowledge, thanks to a DNA rooted in the Emilia-Romagna automation district.
Antonio Biscotti, owner and partner in Griso, together with Claudia Balzan, are constantly engaged in training projects in Italy and abroad where they share their experience with others deeply passionate about coffee.
“STA has been able to support us in our business from the beginning, helping us and guiding us in the modernization process that our industry has been going through,” says Biscotti.
Roasting is a much more scientific process and technology is critical, he observes. “As a consequence, it is increasingly important to be able to count on a trusted technology partner, one that not only shows a deep technological know-how but also experience in processing the product. For us, this company is STA Impianti.”
Griso recently acquired one of STA’s systems, a RBL 15, fitted to the roaster’s requirements for a wide variety of coffees, including high quality ones, in a range going from 3 to 19 kg. The RBL 15 offers flexibility and features that make STA’s worldwide reputation for reliability and a low total cost of operation.
