STA Impianti recently unveiled its new RBL 15, a smaller roasting machine designed for laboratories, small batches and specialty coffee. The company calls it “a technologically advanced unit” with a small footprint.
The RBL 15 serves small or medium-size roasters and works as a platform for creating roasting profiles that can later be replicated on larger production machines, the company says. It also roasts small batches of specialty coffee for niche markets. The RBL is designed and assembled with the same reliability and security as STA’s larger and more sophisticated industrial roasting machines.
The new roasting machine provides flexibility, the company says. In addition to supporting varied roasting needs, the RBL 15 is configurable with a series of assemblies that can expand its potential. It features gas consumption metering, control software to profile management, and an inverter to control and manage speed during the drum rotation and heat extraction stages.
