The board of directors at the J.M. Smucker Company announced a leadership transition. Effective May 1, 2016, Mark T. Smucker steps into the role of president and c.e.o. He currently serves as president of consumer and natural foods, and is a member of the company's board.
Mark succeeds Richard K. Smucker who has served as c.e.o. since 2011 and co-c.e.o. since 2001. Richard will remain involved with the company assuming the executive chairman position on the board taking over for current executive chairman Timothy P. Smucker.
