NCA has announced the winners of the 2024 NCA Coffee Gives Back Awards Program. The recipients of the Origin Charity of the Year Award, Distinguished Leadership Award, and Volunteer of the Year Award will be honored at the 2024 NCA Convention in Nashville, Tenn on March 8th.
Origin Charity of the Year- Food 4 Farmers
Food 4 Farmers works to promote sustainable farming practices, strengthen local food systems, cultivate local leadership, and diversify livelihoods. In 2023 their programs helped 1,723 coffee-farming families.
Distinguished Leadership Award- John Boyle
“Over his 35-year career in coffee, John has exemplified leadership, professionalism, integrity, and generosity. His contributions have made an indelible mark on the National Coffee Association and the coffee industry. Recognizing John with this award represents our gratitude for this legacy,” said NCA President and CEO William “Bill” Murray
Volunteer of the Year Award - Kathryn Lawson
Kathryn Lawson is the Director for Regulatory and Scientific Affairs for Nestlé and has served on the NCA’s Science Leadership Council (SLC) since 2020. She excels at bringing expert scientific insights, and critical analysis, and facilitating progress in the coffee industry, writes NCA.
