Andrew Nathan is the new senior v.p. of Asia Pacific operations for Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. In this newly created role he assumes the responsibilities of Victor Sassoon who will continue as a member of the board of directors.
Nathan will be based in Singapore with responsibilities as the primary driver of the company’s growth opportunities in Asia, including oversight of Singapore and Malaysia. Nathan has 20 years of experience in specialty coffee including leadership positions at Starbucks Coffee and Domino’s Pizza. He began his international career with the U.S. Peace Corps and American Red Cross.
Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was founded in California in 1963 and now operates more than 930 company and franchised stores in 30 countries. In 1996, Victor Sassoon and the Sassoon family became the first franchisee with stores in Singapore and Malaysia. Two years later, they acquired the entire company from the founder and built it into a global brand and business.
