Costa Coffee emerges as one of UK’s most valued brands
Since its acquisition last year by Coca-Cola, UK-based Costa Coffee has grown 48% in value, according to the 2019 BrandZ Top 75 Most Valuable UK Brands report.
“Consumers perceive the fastest-growing UK brands as innovative and dynamic, with a sense of momentum and a clear point of difference. They have built strong emotional connections and have great communicative power to tell their story,” says David Roth, chairman of BrandZ.
In September Costa launched an internet of things (IoT) vending system connecting thousands of machines. Costa data director Paul Borrett said the “fully redundant fault-tolerant network provides a managed connectivity service with a global footprint, whilst support for multiple cellular networks in each geographical region enables close to 100% connectivity uptime.”
