Rosalind Brewer, a former president and c.e.o. of Sam’s Club and a Starbucks board member, has been named Americas group president and chief operating officer.
Brewer has more than 30 years of management experience and more than 10 years of experience leading multi-national retailers.
“I am honored that Roz is joining Starbucks in this capacity and playing an important role with an accomplished team of senior leaders that reflects the strength and diversity of our organization,” said Starbucks president and c.e.o. Kevin Johnson.
Brewer will be responsible for business operations, product innovation, store development, and supply chain. She reports to Johnson and began work Oct. 2. She will be based in the Seattle headquarters.
