A new mobile phone application launching soon in London flips the coffee-ordering process. Instead of one app serving a single brand, the new COFE app brings multiple companies into a single platform.
The COFE app, already in use in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, begins its test run for London consumers this month with an official launch targeted in April, the company said. And while Starbucks and Costa already operate mobile-based ordering platforms in metro London, customers can only order from those specific companies. The COFE app brings nearly 40 different chains and boutique shops into its online coffee marketplace.
Key features of the COFE app include what the company terms a “quick, easy, seamless and simple coffee purchasing experience,” a map view showing all participating COFE shops near a user, a customer rewards program, menu options and drink customization, store pickup and multiple delivery options, catering services, multiple payment options, and bilingual information in English and Arabic.
