Probat Inc.'s New President Revealed
John Fortin
John L. Fortin was named President of Probat Inc., the Probat Group of companies in the US. The German-based equipment manufacturer issued a release this week to announce a change in leadership.
The board of directors voted to appoint John L. Fortin at the end of July in 2015. Former president Karl Schmidt, who worked with Fortin over the past six months, will stay on as a member of the board.
“We thank Karl Schmidt for his leadership and commitment to Probat, his dedicated service to the coffee industry, and we wish him the best for his future,” said Wim Abbing, chairman of the board of directors and c.e.o. of Probat Group.
Fortin previously served as vice president and general manager of a tube mill fabrication business and has over three decades of experience in the industrial manufacturing sector.
Abbing said, “John Fortin’s track record of execution combined with the team’s in-depth knowledge of the industry makes us confident that Probat’s customers will be well supported also in the future.”
