UNITED STATES
Now that Starbucks has opened its first Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room in Seattle, the company wanted a way to offer the microlot coffees roasted there to its customer base throughout the U.S. The recently launched Starbucks Reserve Roastery subscriptions lets subscribers choose from open-ended monthly shipments or 3, 6, or 12-month options. Individuals who sign up for this service gain access to rare coffees available for limited time. Subscribers receive coffee, packaged and shipped within 48 hours of roasting, very soon after.
The company is planning to build its next Reserve Roastery in Asia. If the development moves ahead as planned, it will be announced and open in 2016.
