The new IMD-669-CG capsule granulizer by Modern Process is designed to deliver the perfect Nespresso style grind distribution.
“You only have 20 seconds to make a perfect cup of coffee,” MPE c.e.o. Daniel Ephraim said at the recent Host hospitality exhibition in Milan, Italy. “The grinders have to be perfect and the coffee has to be the right density. You’re putting a lot of coffee in a little container.”
The IMD-669-CG succeeds by using its Vortex Densifier and Absolute Density Control, according to the company. The Vortex Densifier increases the ground coffee density by as much as 100 percent while using 50 percent less heat and energy. The Absolute Density Control keeps the coffee density level within 1 percent of its target. Low coffee temperatures are maintained to avoid loss of coffee volatiles and aromatics.
The new grinder capacity scales from 200 kg to 1,000 kg per hour, Ephraim said.
