Retail sales of cold brew coffee in the US grew an estimated 115% from 2014/15. Sales are estimated at $7.9 million by Mintel International. About one quarter (24%) of coffee drinkers drink retail-purchased cold brew with male Millennials (age 21-38) showing the greatest interest.
Despite its surge in popularity 58% of those surveyed who did not drink cold brew said they are not interested in trying it. The segment makes up 0.4% of ready-to-drink sales, according to Mintel.
