U.S. Speedway announced it would close 100 franchised Dunkin’ Donuts kiosks located in its convenience outlets. The closures, combined with poor earnings disappointed investors who have seen shares drop 20% in value this year.
Visits to stores are down and same-store growth is expected at 1.1% The chain emphasized that it would still build 410 to 440 new locations during the fiscal year. There are 8,200 Dunkin’ locations in the US.
