Kusmi Tea has partnered with fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier to create two new tin designs for its two oldest tea flavors — Anastasia and Prince Vladimir.
Kusmi was one of Gaultier’s sponsors at his retrospective show at the Grand Palais in Paris earlier this year and Gaultier chose his signature nautical stripes and rose tattoos to create the eye-catching new tea tins for the two blends that date back to the very beginning of the company in Saint Petersburg in 1867.
The Prince Vladimir blend was created by Pavel Kusmichoff in 1888 to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the Christianization of Russia by Vladimir the Great and is a mix of Earl Grey, citrus fruits, vanilla and spices. Anastasia is a blend of black teas from China and Sri Lanka flavored with bergamot, orange blossom and lemon.
