The Vancouver Tea Festival returns in November 2015. The exhibition portion of the festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, at Vancouver's Croatian Cultural Centre, 3250 Commercial Drive. It will feature more than 40 exhibitors and presenters from British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii, encompassing a wide swath of the specialty tea sphere.
In addition to the exhibition hall, separate seminar and tasting rooms will feature rotating educational and tasting sessions.
Building on the runaway success of the first festival in 2013, the vast majority of exhibitors from that event have already committed to return, as have numerous new businesses. A variety of smaller and more dispersed tea-related events will be held on Sunday, Nov. 22, at various tea businesses and other locations around Vancouver.
Planned educational and tasting sessions will include an introduction to specialty tea, workshops on preparing matcha-based beverages, how to create tea cocktails, and tastings of Hawaii-grown tea. A number of local food trucks will be parked nearby to provide a wide range of gastronomic options for festival visitors.
Exhibitor applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until Nov. 1, or until all available slots are filled.
