Ceylon tea that reeks of pesticide

I have Ceylon tea that reeks of pesticide as soon as the package is opened. The box declares its pride in the quality of tea, but if it’s been practically soaked in poison, I won’t drink it. I’ve never smelled such a strong residue on any product other than actual pesticide, or paint. This says terrible things about moneymakers in Sri Lanka!
