A third of survey respondents “invest” more of their money in coffee than their annual spend for stocks, bonds, and other moneymaking vehicles.
The financial app Acorns reports that on average Americans spend about $1,000 per year on coffee. More than one third (34%) of the 3,010 people ages 18 to 44 surveyed say that sum is greater than what they invest. About half (46%) said they felt “confident and hopeful” about their financial future.
