A new online job resource was been launched to help connect coffee professionals with prospective employers. The site, Coffee Career Center, is the work of the National Coffee Association.
As an introductory offer, an employer using the promo code "JobFree" may post a standard job at no cost. The offer expires on Dec. 31, 2016.
“The Coffee Career Center provides job seekers, internship candidates, and employers with a customized, comprehensive resource for online employment connections,” according to the website. Employers can post a job vacancy or internship opportunity while anyone looking for employment in the coffee industry can see what’s available.
The site, launched in November, also offers resource articles for anyone in the industry.
“The coffee industry represents nearly 2 percent of the entire U.S. economy, and calls for a broad and diverse pool of expertise and talent,” William (Bill) Murray, NCA president & c.e.o. said in a statement. “The Coffee Career Center will be the first unified job board exclusively for all coffee company positions – from barista to the boardroom.”
The site was developed with cooperation from the Specialty Coffee Association of America, the Pacific Coast Coffee Association and the Green Coffee Association.
