Bettys tearooms in Yorkshire have launched a new range of herbal infusions and rare teas to add to the range of teas and tisanes created for them by their tea buyers and blenders at Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate. The strawberry, cherry, and rose tisane combines the classic British fruits and flowers that everyone associates with a summer’s day in an English garden.
The pink liquor is richly fruity with subtle floral notes and conjures images of afternoon tea in the garden in June or July. Bettys apple and juniper tisane blends Yorkshire fruits and berries found growing in the Yorkshire countryside. The sweetness of the apples is balanced against the aromatic resinous, citrus, and pine notes of the juniper berries, the flavor and aroma that defines gin. The peppermint tisane is a mix of mint leaves with natural essential oils to give a clean, pure mint flavor and aroma.
Bettys special rare green tea is an attractive and pleasing blend of Chinese green Mao Feng with a green tea from the Nandi Hills in Kenya, and a scattering of beautiful pink rose petals that add a sweet floral note. And the new range also includes a Pai Mu Dan white tea from China. Picked in the early spring, the little dried shoots of one bud and two leaves have a delicate and fresh taste.
